Ok its blog time again, must do better this year. So last years biking was good, not as much mileage as i'd hoped (6000 ish) so making a bigger effort this year.
Well i've done 1485 miles so far this year which is a great start. Wanted to do the IAM last year but..., so i'm doing it now. Started 3 weeks ago and have made changes and hopefully improvements to how I ride. Meet up saturdays and take advice on how I am doing. So far I am pleased and am getting good feedback from the observers. Also this week went to meet Dan over near Kilmartin and put in 240 miles. He got a new back tyre so was being careful until it is scrubbed-in, the wet roads did not help him here. The road repair teams are out in force after our long winter which has trashed the road surfaces. Unfortunately they seem to close main routes at zero notice and no advance warning signs on the roads, resulting in a detour to Inverarey which meant we missed out the Green Welly and a shortened run for Dan. Thats life. California biking trip is coming up - only 3 weeks to go - so really looking forward to 2 weeks and 2000 miles of cruising the west coast. Dan and his wife are going too so should be a good time. More on this later.
